Some people love opening up their gifts and seeing that little plastic card that indicates they’ve got a certain amount of money to spend at a favorite store. Others think that the gift card is a cheap way out for someone who didn’t want to get creative in providing a gift with some thought behind it. These two schools of thought may never see eye to eye but they can find a middle ground if they each understand where the other is coming from.

The people who keep plastic card printing services in business tend to cite the main reason for their gift card appreciation as being that they like the idea of being able to go get something that they really want. It’s awkward and uncomfortable to receive a gift that you don’t really like. And then you’re left with trying to figure out what to do with it.

On the other hand, if someone really knows you then they can probably choose a personalized gift.
