Proud to be Female

Sometimes we girls like to make ourselves as girly as we can. We decorate ourselves in pink outfits, wear shirts and pants that show off our curves, and do our makeup in ways that help us feel feminine.
I like to do the same thing with body art. I put butterfly tattoos all around my ankles and shoulders. I put heart tattoos on my lower back (in a design that looks like the hearts are leaves on a vine) and I added a fairy tattoo to the side of my belly. None of these tattoos are very big, of course, but they all help me feel like the woman I am.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with feeling feminine. If I wanted to feel like a boy, I’d act like one. Boys are hairy and smell. I’ll pass. If I wanted to be like that, I would stop showering and never shave.
Instead, I like the idea of acting like the gender I was born. I think people that hide what they are or try to pretend there is something wrong with being girly are doing a bad job representing themselves. We need to act like who we are if we expect others to respect us for the same reason.
